1920s Necklaces Art Deco Chain Necklaces

With the adaptation of The Great Gatsby, many are predicting that this film is going to rock our world and no doubt kick start a 1920s fashion and culture revival. With the costumes designed by Miuccia Prada and show-stopping jewelry by Tiffany,  I decided to pay homage to this classic by showing some gorgeous long chain necklaces with a 1920s vibe.

Erin Wasson

American model, actress, occasional stylist and designer.
Erin Wasson needs no introduction; that face, that signature beauty mark, that aforementioned (self-described) style and that moniker says it all. We teamed up with the folks at Elle Magazine and popped by her pad in Venice, Calfornia, for a shoot with the iconic model-turned-designer-turned-actress (remember her cameo in Coppola’s Somewhere?), we were welcome by Wasson and her fresh, shorter ‘do. While it’s difficult to nail down one title for Wasson (after all, her résumé reads like an encyclopedia of every creative field) we think she said it best: “[I’m a] Jack of all trades; master of some.”

“I would describe my style as a woman channeling Johnny Cash mixed in with a little Rod Stewart pre-disco days and a little sweetheart of the rodeo hanging out at the beach.”

Ombre Hair

Ombre, is a French term for a hair coloring trend in which the bottom portion of your hair looks lighter than the top portion. "Done haphazardly, the effect can create a stark, unappealing contrast" according to wikiHow. If done correctly, with more natural hues at the roots and gradually dyed lightening at the ends, this trend can look interesting if not glamorous. It's been spotted on many celebs: Rachel Bilson, Alexa Chung, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Lopez, Mischa Barton, Amber Le Bon and more.

This style can be worn with either short or long hair and that the highlights can be blonde, light brown, red or even brunette.
