Mt. Diablo - Rock City
Needing a break from work, my 2 boys and I, (Winston the Maltipoo and Steve the fiance), drove up to Mt. Diablo for a little change of scenery. Having grown up in Walnut Creek, it had been years since I last visited this majestic mountain. There were so many places to stop along the long drive up this mountain offering beautiful vistas that took my breath away. One of our stops shown below, was Rock City. I was quite excited about the wind caves and could not resist crawling to one! The wind caves are an area where sandstone rock has been eroded away leaving large pocket holes in the stone.
