Dining Al Fresco

The beautiful Park Bistro at the Lafayette Park Hotel has renovated their patio seating so my mother and I popped in one evening for appetizers. Tiny white lights hung from all the trees behind us as we dined al fresco and warmed up in front of a big bon fire and heat lamps.

Monday Morning.

I do not mind at all starting my day like this: Coffee + the outdoors + dog on my lap.
The Best Cup of Joe.
Gazing up at this massively tall Birch tree.
Mexican Sage in the back yard.

Love my boy.

Christmas Collection

With Christmas around the corner, I thought I would give you a glimpse of my "Christmas collection". First up:  my "Green Turquoise Pendant Necklace". I have always loved GREEN TURQUOISE -- especially when paired with gold and pearls.  I have wire wrapped the green turquoise pendant several times around and added tiny white pearls and gold faceted beads.

This necklace below features faceted GARNET gemstones and an antiqued gold cross medal. I've fastened it to an antiqued vintage chain and accented it with a gold disc and touch of brown silk cord. The garnet stones are quite beautiful and translucent however, in this picture they look much darker.

Stay tuned! There's more to come.

Layered Necklaces

My customers frequently ask me how to layer their necklaces so I thought I would show a variety of examples. I love to see people layer their necklaces in a way that suits them personally. Everyone is unique. Some people are comfortable wearing an eclectic mix of necklaces, others prefer a simpler more refined look.  In a nutshell, there is no 'right' or 'wrong' way to layer your necklaces. It's what you're comfortable with. Having said that, I do like to see the individual necklaces at different lengths so that the detail is visible. That's my only rule of thumb...and to have fun wearing them.
